Emily Boyd, NP-C
Emily graduated from Del Norte High School and completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Regis University. Emily began her nursing career in Lubbock, Texas where she worked on the critical care renal/telemetry unit. She then moved with her husband to Little Rock, Arkansas and during her time there worked as an RN at the University of Arkansas Medical Sciences Hospital in the level 1 emergency department, was the Clinical Trauma Coordinator, and worked in the orthopedic clinic. It was at UAMS that Emily got her Masters of Nursing Science and completed her family nurse practitioner program. Emily has a long list of professional achievements, certifications, and skills. Emily found her way back to the San Luis Valley with her husband and little girls and is excited to provide healthcare to the community she grew up in. Her objective as a provider is to serve the rural community with a dedication to improve health outcomes by applying her skills and knowledge.
“My approach to care is to be attentive and intentional in providing the best practices and healthcare to each individual patient,” stated Boyd. When Emily is not at work, she enjoys spending quality time with her family, running, skiing, and volunteering in the community.
