Shannon Gonzales, CNM, has been a resident of the Valley since the age of 12. She graduated from Alamosa High School and went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Adams State University. She worked as an OB registered nurse for 10 years before completing her Master of Science in Midwifery in 2012 at the University of Cincinnati. She now provides comprehensive women’s health services, including well woman exams, contraceptive management, prenatal care, and delivery services. She has recently reached a milestone in her career with 1,000 deliveries.
Shannon is deeply committed to her community, sharing, “This is home to me. Most of my family and my husband’s family are here. I grew up here, had my children here, and hope to continue to raise them here.”
