Dr. James Garner Joins San Luis Valley Health Family Medicine

San Luis Valley Health is pleased to welcome Dr. James Garner to the Family Medicine Clinic.  Dr. Garner will practice out of the San Luis Valley Health Stuart Avenue Clinic in Alamosa.

Prior to joining the team at San Luis Valley Health, Dr. Garner ran a private practice in Woodward, Oklahoma for nearly a decade.  He brings a significant amount of experience in working with patients and families from rural areas.

“Joining the San Luis Valley Health team is certainly a pleasure,” stated Dr. Garner.  “Living and working in a small, rural community has always been where I have felt most comfortable, and my family and I are glad to call the San Luis Valley home.”

Dr. Garner completed medical school at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City in 2000.

“We are excited to have Dr. Garner join our Family Medicine Team,” said Chief Medical Officer Dr. Greg McAuliffe.  “He bolsters an already strong team and will serve our patients and their families well.”
