San Luis Valley Health Foundation Hosts Record Breaking Bolos & Boots Fundraiser
The San Luis Valley Health Foundation hosted a highly successful Bolos & Boots fundraiser, thanks to the incredible generosity of community members and local businesses who continue to support SLV Health's mission of providing exceptional healthcare services and state of the art medical equipment throughout the San Luis Valley.

On Friday, July 17, 2026, more than 250 guests gathered at the Outcalt Event & Conference Center at the SLV Ski Hi Complex in Monte Vista. Together, attendees helped raise more than $210,000, making Bolos & Boots the largest fundraising event in Foundation history.
Celebrating 20 Years of Partnership
The evening also celebrated 20 years of partnership between SLV Health and Eagle Air Med, recognizing two decades of service that have strengthened access to critical care across the region. During the program, SLV Health Chief Executive Officer Konnie Martin reflected on the significance of the milestone.
"When we celebrate an anniversary like this, we're not simply recognizing the passage of time. We're celebrating a commitment to patients, to families, and to the communities that call this remarkable Valley home," Martin said.
Martin noted that bringing a full-time Eagle Air Med base to the San Luis Valley in 2006 was a forward-thinking decision that reduced transport times and improved access to specialized care for rural residents. Today, Eagle Air Med remains an essential healthcare partner, helping ensure patients can reach critical care when every minute matters.

Honoring a Longstanding Community Partner
During the event, SLV Health Foundation Board Director Lori Laske presented SLV Federal Bank with the prestigious Adamson Award. For more than 20 years, SLV Federal Bank has been an unwavering supporter of the Foundation, helping advance SLV Health's mission of delivering outstanding healthcare to residents throughout the Valley.

One of the night's most entertaining highlights was the popular Whiskey Draw, sponsored by RG Bank. The game sparked plenty of laughter and friendly competition as several winners generously donated their bottles back to be auctioned again, raising even more funds for the Foundation.
