National Lab Week
April 19-24 is Medical Laboratory Professionals Week, an annual celebration of the laboratory professionals and pathologists who play a vital role in every aspect of healthcare.
San Luis Valley Health’s labs will be hosting events for visitors and staff throughout the week.
Wednesday: Refreshments will be served at 10:30 a.m. in the lab corridor.
Friday: International Cuisine Contest with entries by lab staff. There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rdplace. Staff will be allowed to come by at 2:30 p.m. to sample the entries.
All Week: There will be a contest where participants match pictures of lab staff’s pets with their owners. We will be giving patients a small token of our thanks throughout the week. The team will also be available to answer questions about the new Direct to Consumer services they are offering.
